It doesn't matter what day of the week you find yourself at Ruth's Chris in Tampa the service and food are consistently excellent.

Don't vote unless you have tried them all. There is no equal to Ruth's. The closest second is Fleming's, Bern's is not even on the map. Try them all before you vote!!! I have dined at all the steakhouses listed at least 10 times each and the only reason Bern's gets voted on is because of it's past reputation. Everyone i have taken with me to these restaurants always chooses Ruth's.

After years of waiting, I finally went last night.
Here is where nobody beats Ruth's - Quality of steak and atmosphere.

Here is where is better -
Soup - The French Onion was good, but much better at Bern's.
Dessert - Better at Bern's and Columbia than the bread pudding we had.

I mention these other two for a reason, for much less money Columbia is fantastic, though not quite as upscale feeling. Bern's has great soup, side, and salad built into the price. I felt that Ruth's was even more than Bern's when ordering the approximate same thing (soup, salad, 12oz filet,and desert)

I would go back here in an instant, though it was very expensive for us.

Great food but expensive

I love their steaks no doubt but this is a place you go to as a treat for an aniversary or something not for a weekly Friday or Saturday dinner outting.Everything is bought seperately, And if you want lobster mortgage your house before you come here it says market price on the menu and when we asked the waiter how much it was he said it faster then an auctioneer, when it comes to lobster doesn't Maine lobster taste the same whether its from a high dollar restaurant or if you bought them in a grocery store. Anyways I like the place great service and all just expensive

Brandon was our server and his expertise and willingness to do whatever it would take to make our dining experience memorable more than compensated for the prices that some people shy away from. Bravo Brandon and Bravo Ruth's Chris.

For years I always went to Berns but after the father passed... things changed and then I discovered Ruth's Chris which is much better then Berns. The bread is out standing at the steaks are great and they have a very good choice of wine.
