Slip into your finest duds and journey to Mangroves with a group of your pals. The main floor area features a hoppin' bar where people watchin' and pick up lines are tops on the menu. Come on a weekend evening and catch a local band blasting their tunes from the center stage while the hip college-age crowd struts their stuff on the dance floor. Upstairs, fine dining awaits in a more romantic setting, complete with small, linen-crowned tables and black-tie waiters. Order some of the house specialties like the fresh salmon, Bahamian seafood chowder or shitake-crusted tuna. If creatures from the sea aren't your forte, opt for the steak, pork, chicken or vegetarian dishes on the menu. The portions are huge, so plan on taking plenty home as leftovers. Dinner is served late on weekends.

    The only consistant in this establishment, are the good looking wait/bar staff, and the sushi. Other than that, it's very overrated...obviously great for the materialistic, plastic, shallow crowd that seems to frequent places such as these. My husband and I even spent a couple of Friday/Saturday nights, staying later than usual, to view the "club scene". If you like a lighter, more modern version of Studio 56, this place is for you. We may as well have gone to Ybor...and ordered a slice of pizza from a vendor!!

    Mangroves food especially are some of the best dishes served in florida.
    Every time my wife and I go there it seems the out did them selfs from our last visit there. It preserves the term "I'ts a fine dinning expiriance"

    I have eaten in fine dining establishments all around the world. Mangroves ranks as one of my favorites! My fish of the day, Hog Snapper was fantastic and my wife's steak of the day, dry aged ribeye, was done to perfection. I highly recomend this upscale, eclectic, fine dining establishment.

    The atmosphere is VERY dark (bring a flashlight), the waiters are moderately attentive but the food is atrocious. I had the Lobster Rolls and the stuffed Grouper, both of them taste like my cat's food smells, I was horrified. And for the price you should definately go elsewhere. The parking is also undesirable for it is manditory valet.
