Located less than a mile from the airport, this little club on Westshore is known by locals as one of the best spots in Tampa to listen to local jazz bands (with Dwight Champagne Trio being one of the favorites). The music usually begins around 9PM and continues until the early morning. The crowd generally consists of the more mature clubbies in the 30- to 50-something age bracket.

Fox quite often serves several purposes. It can either be a great place to take your date after a long evening or a spot to come with your pals and pick up on other jazz enthusiasts. While the dress is casual, you may want to uptown it a little since everyone else will be dressed likewise. Although the club is small, there is a large enough dance floor near the stage to accommodate those who want to shake off the evening's calories. -- Amie Leavitt

    it was really cool when it was nustled in the back of the office buildings on West Shore. Now I wouldn't go out of my way to get there.

    I HAD A GOOD TIME, BUT THE WAY THE PLACE IS LAYED OUT IT WAS JUST UNCOMFORTABLE. EVERY TWO SECOND WE HAD SOMEONE SAYING EXCUSE ME TRYING TO GET BY. AND YES IT'S OVERPRICED! VERY. THEY NEED TO MAKE THE SPACE BIGGER. OVER ALL I LIKED THE PLACE, BUT IT'S EXPENSIVE AND GET THERE EARLY FOR A SEAT! THERE IS A COVER CHARGE.

    I visited the fox on a Friday night.The atmosphere was intimate and classy I had a wonderful time..FYI Make a reservation for Friday or Saturday nights.

    If you're looking for a place that has a bit of class and you like to dance ... this is the place to go. The Fox has 2 rooms ... one with a jazz pianist and the other with local jazz musicians that play music you can dance to. It's a pleasure to get dressed and enjoy an evening at The Fox and FYI ... I am a slim, professional woman and didn't find the ... too many taco's ... crowd there ... but then, there's always 1 or 2 wherever you go. Perhaps the previous reviewer needs glasses.

    Went once - my last time. $7 valet, $5 cover, $4 for a Lite beer. Must think they're Chicago instead of Tampa.

    A great place to find a woman. This place is the best around for intimatecy. I recommend meeting Kriti. She will show you a good time and make sure the time at The Fox is special.
