Think Outback goes upscale. Fleming's is elegant yet casual, surrounding you with rich leather, polished wood and subtle lighting. It's a perfect spot to mark a major anniversary or impress a first date, despite the happy din. Big portions and sides served family-style encourage groups, and the menu pleases seafood seekers as well as meat and potatoes types. Steaks range from petite eight-ounce fillets to the whopping 40-ounce Porterhouse for two.
Gorgonzola-crusted fillets and New York strips with bearnaise are stars, but so is the perfectly grilled cabernet-butter sauced salmon. Tuna and swordfish arrive succulent and striped from the grill, as does the stately veal chop. Regulars go for Fleming's signature potatoes -- creamy, cheesy and spicy -- although creamed spinach and sauteed mushrooms are hard to resist. TRY IT, YOU'LL LOVE IT!
Ms2mina - 10/01/2009I decided to try Flemings for my birthday dinner with family. I am overjoyed that everything met my expectations!!!!! I wouldn't say that I am hard to please but, I like things to be right. Tony was exceptionally nice and really made me feel very special!!!! The steak was cooked perfectly ,the sides were tasty and not your normal meat and potatoes kind of meal. Peak hour was a bit too noisy for my taste but was perfect around 8:30. Dinner for four, wine with the meal and free B-day dessert--$230 incl .tip...definitely worth it!

No better Steak
back9bbq - 06/11/2008There is no better steak in Tampa. Try the mac and cheese and the creamed corn. They also have a private room if you ever have a special event. They also give you a starter coarse that is always changing. I love Fleming's Prime Steakhouse!!!
