First Watch beckons faithful regulars with healthy, hearty meals that outshine generic greasy-spoon eggs, bacon and pancakes. From the moment you're seated, you immediately see the restaurant's emphasis on presentation and attentive service. A carafe of ice water and a coffee pot are placed on the table so you can enjoy breakfast without a server's reach intruding every minute. Plus, a basket of complimentary newspapers awaits all diners in the lobby for those who like to read the day's news with their meal.
The menu is eclectic, with items sporting tropical or Southwestern accents. For breakfast or brunch, choose among an eclectic array of skillets, omelets, pancakes, waffles, French toast and crepes. Weight conscious? Try the parfait with yogurt, fresh fruit and granola. Diners with a big appetite should order the robust Floridian French toast coated in wheat germ and draped with strawberries, bananas, blueberries and powdered sugar. Lunch includes the classic Reuben and other sandwiches, chicken quesadillas and a variety of salads. Substitution options are nearly endless. First Watch painstakingly attends to the needs of vegetarians and those on heart-healthy, carbohydrate- and sugar-restricted diets. -- Julie Garisto

EXCELLCENT BREAKFAST AND LUNCH!
This restaurant not only has lots of healthy menu items, but everything I have tried is awesome! I will never go back to a Village Inn or Denny's again! You get treated like a valued customer from the moment you walk in the door. There are several First Watch locations in the Tampa Bay area - which most people are not aware of - Countryside, Carrollwood, New Tampa, Fowler, and Downtown! Try them all!!

This is the worst breakfast restaurant I have ever been in. I ordered panakes with a side order of grits. I own shoes that are softer and more moist than their pancakes. The grits reminded me of Elmer's Glue. I will never spend another penny in a First Watch again.
I still can't figure out why they have a waiting line sometimes!
Best Breakfast (Sarasota)
First Watch has an eclectic menu, offering breakfast all day. The dishes are prepared with unusual ingredients, such as Chicken Fajita Crepes and Chorizo sausage. Many have whimsical names to go along with those ingredients, such as Not Guilty, Your Honor and Chickichanga. All are fresh, prepared any way you like them, and they are pleased to do it! They also don't include the tip for large groups which is a pleasant surprise for my table for six. They offer breakfast, brunch, and lunch with an array of salads, burgers, sandwiches, egg dishes, and fruit for those who dislike eggs. The fruit is perfectly ripened, offered in a number of varieties. I recommend this restaurant for BEST breakfast!
The Best

Great panckes, coffee and almost anything else you order. Also excellent service.
Wish I was still living there!
I went to USF and every Sunday we would have brunch at First Watch. Healthy, filling, delicious! The menu had a great range of anything and everything. Some favorites... try the french toast made out of sour dough and raisin bread, the fruit crepes are to die for.. and you have to get their potatos (i crave them). Also, lunch is no joke! They have this open faced chicken salad sandwich that comes with their special marinated salad... I'm so hungry just thinking about it. I wish there was a First Watch in my area.
