Owned by the same folks as Soho hotspot Ciccio & Tony's, this popular Howard Avenue eatery carved a niche on the competitive local cuisine scene with its popular weekend brunches. On a typically sunny weekend morning in Tampa, the patio is packed with everyone from seniors and families to the local in crowd. They come to nosh on standards such as the Mediterranean omelets and buttermilk pancakes. For something different, consider ordering the Cuban breakfast wrap, loaded with meats cheeses and, of course, a pickle or two.

The restaurant calls to mind a diner, with its black and white motif and chrome accents galore, but the food is far from fried and fatty. For lunch and dinner, there are pizzas from the brick oven, healthy wrap sandwiches and something called a California bowl, loaded with chopped chicken, veggies and brown rice. Heartier meals include Kobe beef and NY Strip, and there's always the classic burger and fry standby. The restaurant is licensed for wine and beer only.
