We were at The Castaway a couple of weeks ago and had the best food, service, and atmosphere of any brunch buffet that we have ever had. If you are looking for a real treat, with Tampa's best view on a Sunday, go to The Castaway. We will be there every week for now on.

I discovered this restaurant about a year ago. Since then I go nearly every week for their Brunch. The Variety is the best I've ever seen and the food is great. It's always changing just enough that it never gets old. Have had dinner there a couple of times, and it's very good, but it's the brunch that keeps us going back.

Menu to big.. Mostly Frozen and not fresh..Fish Entree over cooked and dry..They said they would change it..25 minutes later they brought it out as I was paying the bill...Should just be a Bar and forget food..Only go there if i get a flat as i am passing..

Delightful Sunday Brunch

My wife and I had a lovely Sunday bruch at the Castaways...a delightful experience...a terrific view of the bay...a wide variety of dishes...(and a fabulous bananas foster for dessert)...all for a fair and reasonable price....and we had a lovely waitress with good service....can't wait to do it again (i'll still be full for another month !)...the decor isn't everyone's cup of tea -- but come on..it's fun !!

Worst Brunch and Service Ever!

I would never eat at this restaurant again. The service was lousey and the food even worst. The only thing they have going for them is the view. I am calling the board of health on Monday!

Excellent Experience

My wife and I went to dinner at Castaways on Saturday Apr. 14th. We loved the atmosphere. It has to be the best water view in Tampa. Our server's name was Brooke and she was excellent. She was very attentive and quite lovely as well. We saw other tables looking around for their servers, but we never waited for a thing. Maybe some of you who had a problem with service at Castaways should ask to sit in Brooke's section!!! But of course the high point of our meal was the water view. Skeptics should give Castaways a try. We know we will be back.

We have been to Castaways numerous times. It's always the same,DELICIOUS. I cannot understand not being satisfied. Food and ambience are fantastic. Love the view.

I have eaten at Castaways several times, and I have ALWAYS been satisfied as well as impressed! The food presentation and flavor is out of this world! Yummy! Brunch, dinner---it has all been great, everytime I have been there. I am very picky about food and service, so my vote truly counts. The waitstuff is utterly doting and friendly. I really wonder how anyone could not appreciate the ambiance and awesome experience that Castaways offers. Try it for yourself!

Four of us had all the food, mimosas, service, and teriffic view we could ever want! I don't understand the poor reviews. My several visits have all been great.

The service was very poor on our last and final visit. The food was not any better. I cannot recomend this restaurant to any one!
