Come on now
We have been there many times, it has always been one of the places we go back to when in Tampa. Our last visit was less than good. Our waiter, was a gay guy from New York, he went on and on about his sexual deeds, and the number of guys he had been with. He brought out my wife's dish it was fish alright but not what she had ordered. When she mentioned it he assured her her it was correct. He treated her as if we were at long Johns Silver and she had oredered fish & chips. Anther table next to us was also tired of the gay comments. We left & I called the manager to discuss the evening. She laughed and said I know exactly who you are talking about, "big deal" was her attitude.
There are too many places to eat in the area to risk going backAdd Comment

My lawd
We are a lovely black family, and we went there a guy named Patrick called my grandbaby, Toria, a ******!
That made me feel extremely irrelevant!
They was hair in my fish, and my son, Moshaun, had a fingernail in his ketchup!
There was white stuff in my husbands chicken!(semen?)
If you are not white they will not treat you correctly, do not patronize this arrogant establishments! My cousin Tyronius said he is going to DDoS they website!
Tell that place they website is goin' down!Loving my Sunday Brunches

I enjoy my Sunday brunch time at Castaway. The food and service is great. It is a very nice place to enjoy relaxing with friends and family eating a little bit of everything. Now, the cheese grits w/bacon and the potatoes are my favorite. Sitting on the deck on a sunny day is the best.
Castaways is the best! Hands down.

My family and I love to come to Castaway when ever we fly in to Tampa. Their seafood is so fresh. I have never had a bad experience there. The brunch......forget about it! No competition anywhere. Its the best. The sunsets are amazing! And the brunch is no doubt the best in Tampa. I definatley suggest giving it a try. you won't be sorry! I haven't been let down yet!

Paradise Found! Great Food, Views and Service!

I will admit that this was not our first choice for dining on a Friday Night, we tried to go to Bahama Breeze but we where told that it was going to be an hour and a half wait. My two friends and I just did not want to wade into the zoo they call a bar with no view, so we drove down the causeway a little further to The Castaway. The place looks and sounds great! We got a table out on the deck within a few minutes with our server Dennis at our table getting our drinks to us in minutes. Our table was right on the water, we could see the fish swimming in the water below and then the dolphins swam buy a bout the same time as the sun started setting. The food is awesome! Dennis recommended the Calamari for an appetizer, I had the spinach and Crab dip, and my other friend had the oysters. The house margarita with the Grand Marnier floater on it that Dennis recommended was fantastic! The menu was perfect! We all ordered off the Fresh Fish selection, they had Grouper, Snapper, Salmon, Ahi Tuna, Sea Bass, Scallops, Mahi Mahi and King Crab legs to choose from and then you could have it cooked any way you liked it with six different sauces to pick from to go with it. The grilled Grouper i ordered was perfect with the lemon dill sauce. One of us ordered the Ahi Tuna rare with the spicy chili sauce, it was huge and great! My other friend went with the blackened Mahi Mahi with the coconut sauce, just amazing! I am sure glad I saved some room for dessert, the fresh berries and cream finished the day on just the right note, I wanted to lick out the martini glass it came in! I had not even realized until Dennis brought the bill that it was bout the same time as we would have been getting a table at the Bahama Breeze. I have learned my lesson! Never again will I go to a place with no view, over crowded and so so food.
Best Brunch inall of Tampa Bay

I love to go out almost every Sunday for brunch all around Tampa Bay, this is by far my favorite! The views are the best, the variety of food amazing and it has the highest quality! With one of the best priced Brunch in all of Tampa Bay. They have made to order Pasta, Omelets, Banana's Foster, Cherries Jubilee, a huge chocolate fountain, Sushi, Seafood bar with all sorts of crab legs, mussels, shrimp, oysters and crawfish, and that's just the beginning. What ever your craving is I am sure they have it, if not just ask, most times I have gotten it. Oh yea, did I mention the Champagne and Mimosa's?
