Cliche as it may sound, but the difference is truly in the details at this popular SoHo restaurant that serves its entire breakfast and lunch menu from 8AM till 2PM daily. If you can't decide what meal you're hear for, call it brunch and turn your attention to the menu. A signature item is the French toast special, topped with a rich cream cheese sauce, fresh strawberries, bananas and slivered almond slices. Omelet lovers like the thick 'n fluffy ones dished up here, and if you don't see a filling combo that you like on the menu, you can create your own.
The Brunchery ups the breakfast ante with its pancakes, too - rather than piled on top, fresh additions such as coconut, fruit and chocolate are actually cooked right into the batter, to a delicious end. Lunch offerings are pretty standard, with a range of all American sandwiches, soups and salads. Brekkie is truly where it's at. And as for the decor, leave any notions of Soho hip at the door -here it's something like Cracker Barrel meets Denny's, with diner style elements and antiques rounding out the down home vibe.

the hillsborough ave location closed (I think it was a diff owner), but the SOHO s. Macdill and N. dale mabry locations still offer the best brunch in Tampa! I go here at least once a week! Unbeatable!

Iamtopchef54 - 07/09/2008I have been going to the Brunchery since 1993. It has incredible food. The service is good. Great atmosphere and a great place to just be and hang out. I love the specials each weekend.
I had a rehearsal dinner catered. They really did a great job.

FoodDctr - 07/07/2008The Brunchery Rocks! The food is soooo good. What a great atmosphere. I enjoy all the people I meet at the Brunchery. And the Crab Crepes. There is nothing like that at any other restaurant.

elani17 - 07/02/2008We eat at The Brunchery every other Sunday and always enjoy it. The coffee is excellent. My favorite is the Crab and Cream Cheese Quiche while hubby tries one of the omelette specials.
Not what I expected
pdblj30 - 07/02/2008This restraunt is not at all a brunch house. There is no buffet. Its all ala carte. A brunch house being nominated for best brunch should be of the same caliper. Castaway is still my favorite location. The food was good don't get me wrong........ it's just not what i expected from a brunch house being nominated for best brunch. Just because you have the name brunch doesn't mean you should be in the same running as Castaway, Oystercatchers, or Islandway Grill.
