Since 1967, Gigi's restaurant chain has proven popular enough with the locals to grow from a single location to four eateries scattered throughout Pinellas County. This popularity is a result of the restaurant's ability to serve up well-prepared meals at a reasonable price.

Pizza is a big hit on Gigi's varied menu. In fact, you can choose from over 30 toppings: pepperoni, mushroom, onions, sausages, and green peppers to name a few. You also have a choice of crust -- traditional thickness or thin. Those who aren't a fan of tomato sauce may prefer the white pizza offered. If you've got a taste for traditional Italian food, know that spaghetti and meatballs, baked ziti and lasagna are present on the menu.

For those eating on a budget, the restaurant offers early bird specials from 4pm to 6pm each day, along with a children's menu. -- Laura Spinale

  • Terrible food.

Don't bother eating here...it's awful. I am Italian-American and I know good Italian food and this is not it! The worst meatballs and Lasagna...I couldn't even eat it. I had to send back the Casear salad too...wilted lettuce, bottled dressing, with packaged croutons....awful. Not only was the food bad, but they are too expensive for what they serve. Try Buono Pizza in the Publix strip mall if you want good Italian food and very good NY style pizza. They even make some Italian pastries here. Food was very good as well as the prices.

  • Very Good Food & great prices

So sick of chain restaurants with same old menus. Luckily we stumbled across Gigi's by accident and got an excellent Italian meal for a great price. The baked ziti was awesome, piled high with cheese! I left stuffed and in love with the restaurant. 3 of us ate for under 30 including tip. If you get there between 4 and 6, you can get the dinner menu at a discounted price with smaller portions. You will not be disappointed.

  • the worst in every way

i worked for gigi's for over three years. i gave the best service serving so-so food, cook by cheap labor in deplorable conditions. it is so hot in the kitchen the mexican cooks[who they pay less $$$ to work because they won't complain!] do not follow health standards..ie, allowing cooks to wear armless t-shirts [sometimes called wife-beaters] and their perspiration drips onto the pizza being made for you. hair is always being found in the food because they require no one to wear protective gear in the kitchen.

i guess they believe since they have been in business so long that they don;t have to meet the standards that others have to meet. OSHA, ICE and basic health and insurance laws are broken on a daily basis. the manager smokes in the kitchen and allows others to do the same especially when it is raining. servers are allowed no show no call, allowed to work intoxicated, add gratuity to parties of less than six [which is against company rules, says so on the menu.] servers at gigis on treasure island have been allowed to refuse separate checks, refuse service to customers because they arent being tipped by the customer [wonder why? maybe they arent getting service because the server is outside smoking cigarettes all shift or on their cellphones].

management has allowed this bad behavior for so long that i had to do something. so i went to the owners and have been fired for whistle blowing. i guess it is easier to go on their ellitist vacation than dealing with real issues. i was told i could have a meeting and then it was decided that i wasn't going to get one. they would of either had to deal with me or throw me away. they decided the latter and the owner told me to do what ever i had to do, so getting my word out to you is my only way. by continuing to spend your money at this place you will further their agenda of hiring illegals and not treating their employees unfairly. recently an american employees hours were reduced to make way for an illegal with a fake SSN# to have hours because workmans comp requested it, if workmans comp knew that the employee was an illegal do you think they woud be giving this person benifits? i have also noticed that the manager allows completely drunk customers to come in and eat, they are disgusting and the families around them are forced to accept this behavior while they eat. some of our regular family customers choose to order out[to-go] instead of eating in [the establishment] these days. for such an place in the community to go eat you would think they would care but they don't ,so they threw me away as if i didn't matter. i do matter. but the main question is why don't the owners care to know these things. i asked for a chance to speak and was told they don't care, hopefully they will now. [but i doubt it ] there is too much dollars to be made by practicing unfair methods use by this company.

so when all you people eat there and say things havent changed they have americans used to be the employees now it is mostly cheap mexican labor [they are the hardest workers i have ever worked with] but it doesn't take away from the fact that there is something really wrong there and it seemes no one cares.

In Dittson Mall on 38th Ave N. and 49th ST. The best I've found in St. Pete! I think I'm in NYC when I eat there.
Gianni's on Fifth Ave N and 58th St runs a very close second o Little Italy

This is the worst Italian, no, the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The service was bad, the food was horrible! We left most of it and went out for ice cream.
