Shorty's, a Miami tradition since 1951, has people lining up on a nightly basis for some of the city's best barbecue. Hardly fancy and nothing like its neon-lit neighbors, this BBQ shack is known for succulent ribs and chicken, smoke-flavored, slow-cooked and soaked in a delicious sauce. Everything here is a la carte, and side dishes such as coleslaw, corn on the cob, baked beans and French fries are requisite for the complete experience. When it comes to pomp and circumstance, Shorty's is no nonsense, with plastic plates, plastic cutlery and paper napkins. We live on south beach and once a month my wife and i take the drive to Shortys ,the best in Miami or i wouldn't drive that far. 5stars

B Bradley561 - 06/21/2008food was alright have had better service was awful asked server what was in the shaker that was served in the basket with my sweet potato server said either u like it or you dont at least could have told me it didnt go on the potato since it was served to me in the basket with my potato!!!!!!!!!!!! what ever the liquid smoke stuff was it was terrible even worse on the potato she was not very personable and headr her say to the guy she was working with dont clean n e more of her tables she didnt want n e more customers that not a fun and enjoyable experience i wont be returning there ever again thanks to the service
