But when it comes to getting your groove on right here in O-Town, this super sleek nightclub rates high. Inside, it's an eclectic mix of classic and ultramodern, featuring an old fashioned Vaudeville stage electrified with state-of-the-art lighting and effects. The ubiquitous plush couches that seem to typify any lounge these days flank the giant dance floor, offering a haven for mellow onlookers or people with a bit too much of one substance or another running through their systems.
Whether you're looking for an intimate chat in a cozy setting or a wild-dance party, you'll find a niche here -- there's even an outdoor terrace to catch a breath of fresh air. Psychedelic Tuesdays feature '70s dance tunes, free entry for ladies until 11PM and drink specials for all. On Sunday nights, Florida residents get in free. The Grooves design is great! Awesome! But I would like the progressive house/trance nights back! That was great! Please bring them back! Trust me I am not the only person who wants this.

tkend32202 - 04/16/2003I really liked the layout of the place-- the side & upper seating areas, the outdoor terrace-- but as far as the music goes it sucked, but then again i was there on a private party night so i will reserve judgment. The ELECTRIC SLIDE was played so I think that is nuff said.

oojerseybtchoo - 02/21/2003THE GROOVE ROX!! I loved it from night 1! Me and my girl friends all go out there to dance and hang out! its sooo much fun! But the only thing is we depend on the groove for their teen nights! There hasnt been one in ages! It brings in all around teenagers for good *CLEAN* fun! Plus it keeps everyone outta trouble...Come On Put a Teen night on that event calendar.. DO it For ME! :) PLEEEASSSEEE!!

snowpeppa - 06/13/2002I have to admit that I haven't been interested in going to the groove since they quit playing trance / techno on Saturday nights. I remember going weekend after weekend listening to Ian McDaniel spin on Saturday nights. The vibe and lighting was incredible. Ah well, my friends and I all agree that we miss the groove, but will not subject ourselves to dancing to top 40 and alternative rock - ouch. Maybe someday management will be able to convince Universal to bring back what works for the Orlando night scene, not the tourists.

kkdawkk - 04/25/2002My colleagues and I went on to the groove on a Wednesday night. The music never did get out of the 80's, I thought this was not so cool, but the people I was with enjoyed it thoroughly. The decor is actually pretty cool, I will be visiting this club again on the weekend, maybe the fifth star can be awarded.
