Pine Street Bar and Grill offers an array of drinks, specials and typical bar food. But the most compelling reason to visit might be what it doesnt have -- pretentiousness.
While some bars and clubs revel in being chic and up-to-the minute hip, the attitude at Pine Street is basically Here we are. If you like us stay. If you dont, go somewhere else. Now how can you not appreciate that?
Located about two blocks off the main Orange Avenue - Church Street Station strips, Pine Street is tucked away on the first floor of a rather-average looking building. In fact, the bar itself -- which consists of two rooms connected by a beaded doorway -- is rather average looking on the inside, too. But once again, thats the beauty.
A few video games, pool table and dart boards populate the main area, with a bar and high tables scattered throughout the main room. In the second room, there are a few booths and tables with chairs for anyone looking for a little something to eat.
A few TVs sit behind the bar and normally show whatever sport is playing at that time: golf, football or basketball are safe bets. Mind you, Pine Street isnt a sports bar, so dont go there looking to find your favorite team on the tube.
Pine Street is a refreshing blast from the past -- not cheesy themes, servers or decor. Just a clean, straight-forward place to throw back a few drinks with some friends.

No lava lamps here.Simple atmosphere. Place to grab a quick drink downtown. People are friendly and are most tolerant of others.
