The same company that owns the legendary Charley's Steakhouse and Fishbones restaurant down the road is responsible for yet another seafood addition to Sand Lake's fish-friendly Restaurant Row. Moonfish is a classy place where you can enjoy upscale offerings from land and sea in an urban-chic setting. Touting "The Freshest Offerings from the Oceans of Planet Earth," the menu offers an impressive array of shellfish, fresh catches flown in from around the country, and a rainbow of sashimi (raw, sushi-grade fish). The raw bar boasts a dizzying variety of oysters, as well as Duck Carpaccio. And landlubbers will find further solace in the steak offerings on the menu. If you're a sushi-lover, try the Yum-Yum roll -- a combo of tuna, salmon and fried yellowtail -- for an appetizer. The Prince Edward Island Mussels in garlic white wine sauce is a popular choice, as is anything cooked on the open citrus and oak-fired grill.

The decor might make you feel like 'The Little Mermaid,' with beautiful art glass reflecting watery hues throughout the restaurant, octopus-esque lights illuminating the bar, and plasma TV screens screening aquarium scenes through a veil of running water.

    Me and my Husband WERE BLOWN AWAY from the first vist,! the food
    here is tremendous" Especially the Fried Lobster tails & the Mash Potaoes with the lobster gravy, An ( wow) the steaks are cooked to Perfection!! The prices are well worth it. sometimes I think we find a reason to go to Orlando more than the Normal just to have dinner here.

    i went for the first time to Moon Fish 1 week ago, and was blown away, not only by the service or the friendly staff, but the food was MIND BLOWING! for a party of 7, we ordered the rainbow tilapia [i believe it was tilapia], mashed potatoes w/ lobster sauce, mushroom & onions, calamari, and mussels. Everything, an i mean EVERTHING was EXCELLENT beyond my belief.. i was taken aback!

    i already have plans to take my husband therr for his birthday dinner, we'd have to drive an hour to get there.. but it's all gunna be worth it..

    i'm already recommending it to everyone.. an will keep doing just that.. =]

    Party of 5, on a very busy night- calamari started us out, all ordered sea bass- all rated excellent- expecially Hong Kong Sea Bass- great wine selection and all the good scotch we could find--

    We have been dining at Moonfish on Sand Lake Rd for more than two years. It is our favorite "Steak House" and whenever we have visitors to town, this is where we take them, they are always impressed with the decor, the service, and of course the food. The food is displayed in a favorable manner, their eye appeal score is very high. The service is very satisfying, helpful but quiet, and dignified. I am a fan for life.

    My family and I went to Moonfish after a recommendation from friend. I thought the food and service was excellent! The menu has an assortment of fresh fish, sushi, steaks which worked well with our group. I had the Filet Oscar and it was delicious! Also, the calamari appetizer was the best I have ever had! The service was very professional and not overbearing. I would definitely recommend this place!
