If you're looking for a place to dance to good tunes minus the pretentiousness of many other clubs that try to keep a "hip" edge, then make a stop at Independent Bar. When you walk in, the long bar that greets you in the outer foyer is a good place to grab a quick drink or to sit and watch through the windows as people meander past. Around the corner is where the dancing begins, with a good size dance floor and a small raised stage in front for those who really like to get down.
The DJs play a fantastic mix of music, from Old Wave classics to Chemical Brothers to everything in between. Out back there's an open-air courtyard, along with a stage and live music. Another bar serves as a good pit stop on the way to another indoor bar and dance floor. Cover is reasonable and suggesting a dress code is tough because everyone has their own style here. But as long as you bring your dancing shoes, you'll be fine.

MadeInThe80sF - 07/11/2008Wednesday nights ("Wave Pop") are the best! Indie rock remixes, dirty pop, and some dirty rap are the best things you could dance to. They have great drink specials, and the best bartenders around!!

Besides it's the only one agreeble goth club to goto here in Orlando at the moment.Very Cool Club

x8glitterxbomb5x - 05/11/2003I went last night, it was the first club I've ever gone to, and I REALLY enjoyed it. Now if only I wasnt so scared to dance, I would have had SO much more fun!! lol. Yeah, the goth music was great! The people were all diffrent, and I felt very comfortable! it was a little bit on the darker side, with a dirty edge, but it kind of grows on you. =) FIVE STARS ya!
