Boasting pizza that's been compared to the best New York has to offer, Steve's Pizza serves thin-crusted pies covered in a sweet, tangy tomato sauce and literally dripping with cheese. Enjoy slices loaded with gobs of tasty toppings like sausage, ground beef, pepperoni and ham -- or opt for veggies such as mushrooms, onions, peppers or eggplant. Not in the mood for pizza? Steve's also serves traditional Italian grinders, pasta dishes, stromboli and full dinners. Appetizers include pizzeria faves such as mozzarella sticks and garlic rolls.

This tiny joint doesn't offer any frills -- decor is minimalist and slices are slapped onto paper plates -- but Steve's is often jam-packed, especially by students on study breaks and families looking to feed hungry kids. Limited seating means the takeout business is brisk. If you prefer to down your chow at home, Steve's offers delivery service as well. -- Rebecca Stropoli

Since it's extremely hard to find good pizza in Florida, I was so excited when a friend introduced me to Steve's. It is so good. The only bad thing is the rude people at the counter. Otherwise, Steve's is excellent!

I have been going to Steves for over 20 years now. It is the only pizza worth eating in Miami. My recommendation is to be simple (just pepperoni).

Steve's Pizza ... once eaten you are hooked. I have been eating at Steve's for the past 20 years or more and they just don't make pizza any better. Everything on the menu is fresh every day and nothing I have ever eaten there has fallen short of being great. You must try the tuna salad, the mixture of oil and vinegar on top or a huge mountain of tuna and lettuce with wedges of cheese and olives and tomatoes and pepperoncini peppers and a fresh hoagie roll of bread.. yumm yum. Well worth the wait in line for the BEST Pizza and other Italian dishes in town.

The closest to NY pizza I've had, and hands down the best in Miami. I drive all the way from Kendall just for a slice. The sauce is perfect. You definitely must try this pizza.

Its a pizza of legend. It is the experience of a lifetime. It is the pie that I have always been dreaming of.

  • It is the BEST! Like it or NOT

    I have been eating @ Steve's since i moved here from N.Y.C.!

The crust is crispy, the gravy is perfectly sweet and spicy and the cheese is perfect making for the right combination. And any pizza crust that cracks when you fold it, not like the typical Miami sponge pizza is very worthy of being #1.

What do you "Jerry and Joe's", "Pizza Hut", Casola eating clowns know anyway? Your from MIAMI. Go judge a Midnight Sandwich contest!

It's not that the pizza is terrible, it's just terribly mediocre. Yes, the crust is too dense, the sauce is too sweet, and the servers are bitter. I'd rather have Elios without the attitude problem. I lived 18 years in the vicinity of NYC and have sampled pizzas in Italy; I can assure you that this is no comparison to the culinary delights you can find on any street corner in those other locales. I have yet to find a satisfying "NY Style" pizzeria, except for Davie's Pete's-A-Place (a shack on the side of the road with the thinnest crispiest crust I can find in this humidity). I will be trying Goodfellas, as the other reader suggested.
