THE BEST ON THE BEACH

Quite possibly the best meal I know of in South Beach. Very consistent menu at a moderate price. Everything is great and I cannot say a bad thing about it. I have heard that it is either hit or miss with it but in the 20+ times i have been there is has been a knockout.
Add CommentNot worth it
Nice ambiance but near impossible to read a menu with this light level. VERY expensive. Greasy. Beef was fatty. Not nearly as flavorful as one would expect for this price level. Far more about appearance than taste. I was expecting both. Oh, and the what appears to be free valet parking is $15.
Bad "Chinese"

China Grill isn't Chinese. No way. Overpriced, huge lines, and edible, but not good, food. This is pseudo Chinese, dressed up to appeal to the South Florida native, but don't for a minute think you are going to get anything resembling Chinese cuisine here. For the life of me, I cannot image why anyone goes back.
my first time there
i went to china grill a week ago and i was not impressed with their food honestly the food was horrible and the service was in a rush all the time, the price was outrageous for the type of food i honestly did not enjoy it at all also the parking is terrible i had to park like two blocks away in heals i would definaly not recommend it. i had better in the beach
Who's Kidding HOO!
I'm a Pro Chef for a so called Celeb (Donald T), and this is definitely NOT your typical/classic Chinese cuisine, not by any
stretch of anyone's imagination! The Prices are WAY OUT OF LINE, AS WELL!! What's all the Hub-Bub About, Anyway????
The Food Editors & Reviewers were at the Wrong Place I Think!Cuisine Nouvolle with Chinese

I would not classify this China Grill as a typical chinese retaurant. Most chinese would not go there because of the dishes are not tradional and they are too expensive. Even though I enjoy it, it was enjoyment was tempered by the high prices.
The atmosphere is futuristic with an oriental flare. The lighting is so deem that it was difficult to read the menu. Its expensive, including the valet parking. Our best dish was not chinese but more of a continental surf and turf which was $ 61.00. Which was excellent. The waiters are pushy but courteous in suggesting dishes. Judging by the crowds, I think there is no problems in getting patrons.Don't believe the hype!
I agree with most of the posters here about the China Grill: the food and drinks are WAY overpriced, its noisy and crowded, the employees tend to be rude, and since its not Chinese food its misnamed. If you are looking for good, pricey food there are much better places on South Beach.
Tourist trap

Why on earth this was chosen as the best Chinese is beyond me. It is not CHINESE! Maybe it's the name. The food is so average and yes, over priced. Who are these editors? If you want Chinese, go elsewhere.
Overpriced and Arrogant

The place is noisy, the food over priced and they have a HUGE ARROGANT attitude; almost like they are doing you a favor by letting you in. It is a restaurant that, when it opened, attempted to create an ambience for itself for South Beach's young, rich and beautiful. It was a place to be several years ago but it is past it's prime and not worth it.
