The sister location to Sarasota's Cafe Gardens and Daiquiri Deck, the Oceanside Grill brings beachside fun and a party atmosphere to Madeira Beach. The bar itself faces the beach so you can enjoy the Speedos and bikinis as they pass. The deck is the popular spot, but inside, tables and booths offer a place out of the sun to relax and eat. After the lunch and dinner hours, the place comes alive with live music and revelers who have been bronzing in the sun all day. The frozen drinks come out by the gallon to keep things cool, while people mingle and dance under the warm Florida moon. Of course, the daiquiris are the star attraction at the bar, but the place has wine, shots and nearly 30 beers, too.

If you are there to eat, it helps to be a fan of seafood -- it's what they do best. Florida faves like grouper and shark are on the menu, along with crab cakes, shrimp, scallops and, of course, conch fritters. Other grill standards like nachos, burgers and ribs can be had as well. The food is inexpensive and filling, as most pub grub is, and while everything is pretty good, it's the outstanding nightlife that is most likely to earn Daiquiri Deck & Oceanside Grill an award. -- Carl Salminen

TIP: The Bushwhacker daiquiri is made with dark rum, Kahlua, Coco Lopez and cream topped with Caffe Lolita. Go for it.

You absolutely have not been there...it is a deck in a parking lot that faces a MAIN road that abuts high rise buildings that face a beach. If you try you can smell the car exhaust covered salt air. I'm not saying it's not a good, big biker bar to get drunk at if you like tank tops, foosball and cigarettes, but listed under waterfront? Come'on!
