Set in the atrium of Disney's Contemporary Resort, Chef Mickey's beckons tourists to break bread with the Disney gang daily during breakfast and dinner. During breakfast, diners can expect a visit from Chef Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale. Minnie and Pluto go AWOL for dinner, with Goofy and Donald Duck filling in. The characters make a point to swing by each table, so be patient and you'll get your turn.
Two different buffet lines cater to kids and adults. Breakfast is a classic spread of eggs, pancakes, waffles, fruit and cereal, with a few meat options and a salad bar. Dinner is more lavish (and more expensive), with carving stations and pasta among the options. But it's the character interaction, not the food, that's the main draw here. And even adults can't help but giggle like kids when Minnie bats her eyelashes and curtsies in their direction.

The food is awesome. Definately the best buffet I've been to! However , if you're an adult and you love characters, stay away from Chef Mickey's!! They ignore you! I was there for an hour and not ONE character came to my table! Totally ridiculous!

klkaelin - 07/14/2002I love Chef Mickey's. The price is affordable. The food is delicious. We went there last week and I could cut the prime rib with a fork. We live an hours' drive away and go there quite often. I am even having my granddaughter's birthday party there. It is a must for everyone if you want a good meal and entertainment. We tried some of the other character dining and it doesn't compare. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

darlene - 06/20/1999you should make this a must for lunch/dinner if vacationing in wdw. fun for both the kids and adults. the characters were great fun and the kids loved making their own sundae with tons of toppings and they got to decorate their own cupcakes with Goofy.
