It seems Hollywood can put Sin City in the running now that the Seminole Hard Rock has arrived. The 12-story Mediterranean-style tower and its adjoining reservation has all the bells and whistles one would expect from a Vegas-style compound: 10 nightclubs, including Pangea Lounge, Gryphon, The Improv, an Irish pub, a dueling piano bar and indoor/outdoor billiards; upper-crust restaurants (one with a wine room containing more than 500 bottles); a food court. Plus, there's a poolside Beach Club replete with water slide; a spa; a Hard Rock Cafe; more than 20 retail shops; as well as a ballroom and club featuring national acts and even a Seminole Indian cultural center where guests can watch alligator versus man wrestling matches.

There's a 5,500-seat concert and sporting arena: Hard Rock Live. Then, of course, there is the 130,000-square-foot casino with 50 poker tables and 2,100 gaming machinesPhew! Between the drinking, gambling, eating and places to get into trouble, it will surely become the Little Vegas of the South.

Very boring - the music was the best part and that was mediocre - they try to be like the clubs in south beach by portraying some kind of exclusive image - but they don't live up to it - most of the people there looked like people SoBe rejects - not many nice looking people - no celebrities - when I went it looked like their criteria for getting in was that the women be 10-15 pounds overweight minimum - won't go back - much better time to be had in SoBe.

  • A Casino for Music?

    Review rating : 1out of 5   karmck4 - 06/14/2006

Just my opinion but why go to a casino to hear live music? I admit I don't like huge venues where I can't see, hear or really experience the performance. I am further turned off by the schtick and glitz.

I like to be close to the stage, hear every nuance of the music and relax. If you do too, go to Bamboo Room. My choice as the best place in South Florida for live music! If you haven't gone, then you don't know what you've been missing.

I love Seminole Hard Rock...this is the place to be! It is an awesome "Vegas" environment and just overall a fun place to be. You do not have to be a huge fan of clubs or that type of environment to enjoy this place!

YES, SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE WITH SO MUCH TO DO, IF ONLY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WASNT SO POOR! I HAVE BEEN IN DUMPS THAT HAVE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE GO TO THIS PLACE EVER SO OFTEN BECAUSE WE LOVE TO GAMBLE AND IT IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL CLEAN PLACE AND EACH TIME SPEND NEAR A THOUSAND DOLLARS(A FEW TIMES WE HAVE SPENT MORE THAN 5000 IN ONE WEEKEND), I SAY SPEND BECAUSE WE HAVE NEVER WON ANYTHING, I THINK I DESERVE A SMILE WITH MY DRINK OR WHEN I CHECK IN OR OUT OR PASS BY AN EMPLOYEE. AND WE ARE HUGE TIPPERS AND EXTREMELY FRIENDLY PEOPLE.

  • Hard Rock Live Sucks

    Review rating : 2out of 5   lynnedear - 08/28/2005

Instead of having their logo shining on both sides of the stage, they really need to put TV screens there, so those sitting in section 104 can see who they're paying to listen to. We went to see Chris McDonald, and couldn't see his face. $35 for a ticket, just to watch something wiggling onstage.. Not Good, fellas!

  • Attracts bad people...

    Review rating : 1out of 5   wolf8wolf - 06/23/2005

If the experience you count on depends on who is surrounding you or atmosphere, this is NOT the place for you. The people in the casino walk around in sandals and t-shirts [at night!] and look like they just got out of the "Swap Shop" or the equivalent. Hard Rock seriously needs to enforce a dress code...or cover charge. Most people walk aimlessly about; not even gambling, b/c they probably can't afford it! On another note, my boyfriend and I are two well-dressed people and we tried our shot at the club: "Passion." The dj's couldn't mix for anything! The music drifted from hip-hop to dance to salsa/merengue--and not fluently!! You're left hanging on the [small] floor while he gets to the next song...terrible!
Maybe the other clubs there are better... on a good note, there was a fantastic Italian gelato shop.
P.S.-at the club, 2 drinks [a beer and tanqueray w/ seven up] cost $14!
