There's nothing fancy about Sergio's, one of Miami's most popular and authentic Cuban eateries. But no frills food has never tasted better than it does here, a place which began as a simple Cuban sandwich stand and is still a simple sandwich stand, though now there are four locations. Whether you sit at the few outdoor tables or at the indoor wooden picnic tables or even takeout, Sergio's unabridged menu will stun you and may leave you in an indecisive stupor. To make your decision easier, the Cuban sandwich, a simple staple of roast pork, Swiss cheese and pickles, is a must-eat, as is the Palomilla grilled steak -- a bargain and enough to serve several.
Sergio's is also known for boasting one of the best -- and cheapest -- breakfasts in town. Try the El Mezclado, a mixture of scrambled eggs and diced ham with Cuban toast. But getting back to its humble origins, Sergio's takes its status as a sandwich stand very seriously, offering a mind-bending, mouthwatering selection of 20 sandwiches. Yes, it's overwhelming, but a good reason to keep coming back so you can try them all. Service here is friendly and fast and the clientele ranges from pre-Castro Cubans to suit-and-tie types. Best Steak Sandwich!
ESTAHROX - 10/24/2008Great fatty, yummy Cuban comfort food- I work across the street and have a hard time not eating their yummy steak sandwich every day- also love their mariquitas!

But fair is fair- the number of members adds up to 17 not 18
as you claim- also the total of points divided by the number of members = 3.8 - should this not equal 4 stars ? - even at 18 members it = 3.6I love Sergio's

sgno2 - 10/07/2005Lets not get all fancy here, the place has excellent food, service and great prices even on their beer of the month. Evertime I go there is a crowd and that is for good reason, truly a great spot to eat. Do not think that you will get the same quality at the brid or country walk location, again only at coral way!!!!!!!!

rfoxt293 - 06/06/2005On my way home about 9.00pm I decided to grab a sandwhich at Sergios on 152nd st & 137th Ave. The sandwhich I ordered was described as pork, pork & more pork! When I arrived home and unwrapped it I discovered it was nothing more than dried up bits of pork and BONE SHARDS from the serving plate, it was completely inedible!
It's Goooooood!

Sergio's located on SW 153rd st & 137 ave when I looked at the kitchen floor and noticed it was the filthiest floor I have ever seen. It is pretty economic but The food seems too commercial to me.not cuban food
