In Short
Whimsical antiques and decorative items--velvet armchairs, vintage-looking fringed lamps and booths made from iron bedsteads--fill the dining room. The OSF Classics menu offers spaghetti with a choice of mushroom sauce, rich meat sauce, browned butter and feta-like mizithra cheese sauce, and more. Other popular favorites are the baked lasagna--layers of noodles, tomato sauce and four kinds of cheese--and the fettuccine Alfredo. Meals include a green salad, fresh-baked bread and ice cream.

Old Spaghetti Factory
Could happen anywhere, but on 8/21 I ate at the Seattle Old Spaghetti Factory with my grandchildren. I suffered for at least four hours with what I believe was food poisoning - I figured it to be the salad dressing, but since I had purchased a meal for my husband, who stayed home, he was afraid to eat his meal and it went in the trash. My grandkids loved the food.

Though we did enjoy The Old Spaghetti Factory -- which we have also eaten at in Tacoma several years ago -- Buca 'de Bepo has them beat hands down -- and is located quite close -- just on the east side of the Seattle Center. The servings at Buca 'de Bepo are larger than The Spaghetti Factory -- and the atmosphere much more pleasant. You can order a serving for 1, 2 or more. The meatballs are 1/2 pound each, with a flavor out of this world. Try their famous "Gorgonzola Salad w/ Granny Smith Apple Slices" and the "Triple Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake" -- they are to die for... What a wonderful place to eat -- be sure to make reservations though as it is a very busy restaurant. Also, ask for the "Kitchen Table" -- an exciting experience -- it is located right across from the kitchen -- you can watch them preparing everybody's plates, thus showing their expertise and cleanliness... YUM -- it makes me hungry just thinking about it -- I hope to go there again soon...
