The tag line says it all: Rainforest Cafe is "a wild place to shop and eat." This branch, located in Downtown Disney in front of the California Adventure theme park, is a fun spot to take the kids after a day of rides at Disneyland. Tried-and-tested, kids love the giant waterfall and periodic thunder and lightning storms, during which tropical animals begin to move and make noise throughout the restaurant. The primary draw here is the ambience, but there are also Caribbean cocktails and an extensive menu featuring pastas, chops and sandwiches, as well as some more "exotic" dishes like Magambo shrimp pasta and caribe coconut chicken. As you leave, don't forget to check out the shop for items from around the world. That way, you can tell people you visited a rainforest, and have more than just a full stomach to prove it.

It's overpriced...
Kuuipo222222008 - 07/01/2008The decor and all that is absolutely out of this world, but I will never, ever, order food from that particular restaurant again because I think their prices are a complete rip-off. In fact, the little section called a store inside of that restaurant, the items too, are overpriced. That place is more like for tourists, but even as a tourist, I would never consider stopping in that restaurant. In that case, I would rather spend my bucks on food that's much more worth it than a place that serves such a small quantity. It royally sucks.

jrsbraden - 02/21/2006The Rainforest Cafe is by far the best family friendly restaurant. It has a family friendly location as it is located at Downtown Disney. The food is good. My grandchildren love the pizza. The staff is friendly. We go there so much with our grandchildren that I signed up for the Rainforest discount card. 10% off meals and 10% off purchases in the gift shop.
Overpriced For Mediocre Food
dianduy - 10/12/2005Rainforest Cafe has great atmosphere but the food that you get there tyou can get anywhere. Except at a cheaper price. I found nothing exciting about the food when we finally got in after an Hour of waiting. It definitley was not worth the wait.
Cool place, horrible food
fist357 - 06/05/2005We love the way the rainforest looks, it's great for the kids. But the food is absolutely horrible. They must have put all their money into the atmosphere and forgot about the menu. I will never go back because I cannot pay money for unedible food. I had to send my food back twice!
