The original Max and Erma's opened for business in 1972 in Columbus, Ohio. Now, more than 30 years later, the Midwestern chain boasts more than 60 restaurants in 12 states, including five right here in the greater Indianapolis area. Each Max and Erma's possesses its own unique atmosphere and decorative flair, and the menu remains fresh. Hand-pattied burgers are still cooked to order, as is the rest of the menu. Appetizer favorites include Loaded Cheese Fries, Cheese Skewers and Max's Monstrous Combo -- a sampler platter with a little bit of everything. For a lighter eating experience, Max and Erma's offers various soups and salads, but the fabulous dessert selection could ruin any dieting vows. The classic build-your-own sundae has everything you could possibly want on ice cream, and an assortment of cheesecakes, pies and cookies proves equally tempting.

Ugh, i will never go back, i live in Greenwood and unfortunally we have no really good food places down here, but Mx & ermas....one of the worse, ive been 3 times, never good, My son got a bloddy hamburger, i didnt even know they served those anymore....i tried thier meatloaf dinner last time thinking, how could ya go wrong? they did...must have added Dog food...Ugh....im sick just looking at this review board.
The best of the best
I really prefer the Max and Erma's at the Edinburg Outlet Shopping Center; but if I in Greenwood that is where I will go. I've never encountered a problem with the service, menu choices, or atmosphere.
