In Short
American Roadhouse is a big, family-friendly, utilitarian restaurant popular for its generous portions and down-home service. It's a good choice for finicky children or big groups seeking a casual lunch spot or a weekend brunch destination. Most know the eatery for its all-day breakfast menu with pancakes, omelets and saucer-sized biscuits, but it also offers sandwiches, burgers and meat loaf specials.

This place has not been open for dinner in YEARS!!! This is a simple breakfast and lunch place - nothing fancy - no $40 brunch - just plain and plentiful food. A perfect Sunday morning breakfast - eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, and coffee for $7 - and best of all, within walking distance. Breakfast leads to lunch - sandwiches and salads - all reasonably priced - if you want yuppie food - go somewhere else and pay big bucks - here you get food of your youth for a reasonable price.

This was my first time going and the service and food was excellent.
Collard Greens and cornbread--yum, yum. I will return to try other items.
