When the CC Club first opened in Minneapolis things were a little different. First of all, it was called CC Tap. Secondly, and significantly, it was 1934 and Prohibition had just ended. The space was later renamed the CC Club in 1975 when Moe Emard took ownership. He guided the club into its glory days in the 1980s, when Soul Asylum and The Replacements rocked and hung out here. While those heady times have passed, this neighborhood bar is hardly past its prime. As a bonus, their food is worth a taste. The breakfast menu includes biscuits-and-gravy and Bloody Marys. Lunch brings grill fare like the hearty half-pound Black Angus burger basket. The CC Club may not look like much from the outside, but it's grungy, warm and comfortable, and the heart of this favored spot hasn't changed. You can still always count on good times and a loyal crowd. In fact, the distinctive white and brown building has earned its reputation as an area landmark.

  • Ah, the CC

I used to be a regular there, 20 years ago, and 20 years after my Mom and Dad used to stop in. I was lucky enough to hang out during the mid80s heyday and play pool with MN's rock gods. I'm moving back to MN after living in Las Vegas for 4 years and will probably be stopping in for a Bloody Mary, a pitcher of Leinie's, some people watching and a game of darts soon after getting back. It's always a hoot at the CC!

The CC Club is one of my favorite places. Their breakfast is perfect!! It's also a great breakfast after a long night of drinking. Drink prices are good and they make the best Bloody Mary I've ever had.
I lived right across the street from CC for over a year and made many appearances there. It was always a great time. The only negative would be that most of the staff working there hates their job and it shows when ordering from the server/bartender. But, no bid deal, 'cause you'll always have a good time with CC.

i've been a customer of the cc club since 1992, going there to watch a friend shoot in a darts tournament. the staff and patrons there were top notch. some of the staff from '92 have left, but the current ones keep the customers coming back again and again. everyone is welcome at the cc, from the locals, to the passerby, you cannot find a more diverse clientele. just step inside on any given night after 10pm and witness bikers, businessmen, punks, gays and goths chatting it up together with the likes of everyday average joes like myself. it's great to have a bar where everyone respects other people and their way of life. in my twelve years of going there, i have nothing but the best to say about the cc club. it may not be the biggest, it may not be the fanciest, but after 70 years, they must be doing something right to keep myself and others coming back night after night.

Was in the mood for a small town bar atmosphere and to my surprise found a(if not a bit tarnished)jewel of a bar with friendly(hard to find in this city)service, wonderful food at very reasonable prices(another hard to find here) and an escape from the stresses of city life if for only a while.Let down your hair(some multi-colored) and have some fun!!!
