Situated on a non-descript strip of asphalt in St. Pete's Pasadena neighborhood, this classic Florida dive bar doesn't exactly jump out at you with its aesthetic charms. But pass the Pasadena Bar & Grill by and you'll be missing out on one of the best burgers in town. The cheeseburgers here are the stuff of carnivorous fantasies, clocking in at nearly a pound a piece and flying off the griddle for a mere $4.50 a pop. Bar denizens with brown bottles of Bud in hand sidle up to the bar, eyes fixed on whatever game's playing on the myriad TV screens, burger baskets at the ready. There are no happy hour specials but that's only because it would be hard to make the drinks any cheaper (bottles and wells go for just $2.25). If you're after trendy, head elsewhere - the decor centers around neon beer signs, framed stadium shots and twinkling Christmas lights. But if you're looking for a watering hole where the bartender's likely to remember your name and favorite drink after a few visits, here's your spot.--Terry Ward
