Only the luckiest diners get to beam up to Scotty's Landing. Diners who aren't in the know might just get themselves lost. That seems to be part of the whole charm of the place. Tucked into a corner close by Miami's City Hall, Scotty's is the preferred choice for locals looking to linger and gaze at the beautiful Biscayne Bay while sipping a beer accompanied by their deliciously no-frills fresh fish plates.
The antithesis of neighboring behemoth the Chart House, Scotty's Landing has a funky character and clientele. Young professionals mix with city hall employees and politicos in an unassuming atmosphere that's not the least bit pretentious. Music serves as a perfect counterpoint to important conversations that may be taking place between high-ranking officials at the table next to you. Overall liveliness makes this one of Miami's best happy hour spots (beer and wine only). -- Lesley Abravanel

Undercover Latinos Unite!
Sure, the place is great to get a view of a sort of Old Miami, Salty Dog, Florida Cracker Yahoo element that this place boasts... But, Latinos need not be frightened by the crude, non-cosmopolitan atmosphere... Rather, it should be embraced! Enjoy a fantastic view of the center of La Capital Del Sol, Miami City Hall, while enjoying their first-rate Dolphin Sandwiches & a nice selection of beer. This place is recommended especially for Latin Miami to peek into a Miami that is long-gone.

As a grengo living in Miami, it has a very low Latino factor but the hottie bartender--she hails from Venezula. I love this outdoor restaurant hang out spot..the breeze on the water with beautiful sunsets and the great reggae and live music. make it a relaxing way to wind down on Friday night. It seems to be the spot for happy hour for the young professionals and families to bring their kids...The food is surprisingly good too!

The atmosphere, food, and music at Scotty's are great. But don't expect timel service at this laid back waterfront haven.
