Not much has changed since the Eastlake Zoo Tavern first opened back in 1974 -- in fact, they probably haven't even swept the place since. OK, so maybe it's not thatdirty, but this Eastlake dive definitely has a gritty side, and the hard-lived bikers that frequent these hard wood floors couldn't be happier about it. Really, where else can you get a 64-ounce glass pitcher of PBR of only $6.50 any hour of the day?
There are also tons of games to play at this smokey tavern. The five pool tables are by far the most sought after, particularly before 5PM when they are free (50 cents after). There's even a rare 1913 snooker table, as well as a shuffleboard, two pinball machines and three dart boards. Heated games aren't uncommon, particularly as the night (and the drinking) goes on. But if things get too wild, you can always go catch your breath -- and a killer view of Lake Union -- on the outside deck.
