Located along the 16th Street corridor of the Inner Mission, Delerium is the name of the bar that has taken over the space occupied by the former Albion Club. The new owners gave this bar a major facelift, putting in new furniture and decorations and effectively getting rid of that old smell of the former dive. Now the bar has a red and black checkered floor and high tables against the opposing wall. The end of the room houses the jukebox, filled with mostly alternative rock CDs, one pool table and some video and pinball games. The back room that used to house these amusements is now filled with more tables and chairs, giving the bar a much higher capacity. Plans are in the works to install turntables to host DJ nights in the back. Like every bar in this neighborhood, Delirium tends to get crowded on the weekends, but at least now you've got a better shot at getting a seat.
