Searching for a new bucket for all your bucketing needs? Don't come here. The misleading name is a clue to all the strange goings-on inside this intimate bar and live music venue that hosts acts such as The Worst Band Ever and Billy Vasoliney and the Penetrations. It's also the home of 'Fun Freaky People' -- a Monday night alternative culture event for DJs, artists, musicians and fetish fans. Underneath The Roasting Company restaurant on Montford, this little hideout offers techno, weekly themes and live music. Frequented mostly by young twenty-somethings (with a few thirty-somethings thrown in), Jeff's is a little dingy and ramshackle, a sort of Milestone for non-punks. Mismatched framed posters and photos dot mustard-yellow walls, there's an old-school 80s arcade video game, and plenty of cig-smokin', beer-drinkin' hipsters crowding the black vinyl banquette.
