Frazier's on the Avenue has been in its current Hampden location for seven years, but this institution has been feeding and watering appreciative customers for what's close to seven decades. Frazier's recipe is downright simple -- lots of food at prices that won't put a strain on your wallet -- and attracts an eclectic mix of Hampden hons, young professionals and students from nearby Johns Hopkins University.
You'll swear mom is in the kitchen dishing out the hefty portions, like homemade shrimp salad. There are nightly bargains -- a five-ounce crab cake for $6 on Tuesday and a 10-ounce New York strip steak with the trimmings for $6.95 on Thursday. Comfy-ness is also a theme at Frazier's, where the bar dining area leads to a pool table. In the other half of the restaurant, you'll find tables large enough to satisfy a large office contingent and cushy chairs and sofas that invite lounging. -- Pete Kerzel

I don't know what that guy is talking about.
Sounds like a bad personal experience to me... I don't do much drinking at Frazier's because it's a bit pricy, but the food is amazing. It is the only place where I will order a grilled cheese bacon with the bacon already inside because at Frazier's they actually know the meaning of the word crispy. The hamburger is also enormous and delicious, as is the chicken quesadilla. Anyways, I saw that other guy's rating and i couldn't let that be the only things that has been said about one of my favorite restaurants.
