The Poodle Dog is somewhat of a paradox. The outside is anonymous gray cinder block with a large French poodle painted on a lilac background. Once inside, it turns into a fairly rough and tumble working class bar. With only canned beer and some of the saltiest barmaids in town, the Poodle Dog is no place to start a ruckus. But if you want to shoot some pool without having to fight for a table, the Poodle Dog usually has several open and offers some of the loudest classic rock jukebox selections for just the right atmosphere.
