It's not often that a mound of dough requires a police escort. Yet in order for the baking to begin at the new Boudin Bakery and Cafe at South Coast Plaza, two of Costa Mesa's finest were responsible for the safe arrival of the company's 150-year-old "mother dough," the secret ingredient added to every loaf of Boudin sourdough bread ever made. The two-man motorcade accompanied the precious cargo from the airport to the new boulangerie on the first level of the mall's Carousel Court where a mass of well-heeled shoppers can enjoy sourdough pancakes, oversized bread bowl soups, and a list of creative sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

bread average
I expected a lot more. I was in just before christmas and the place was chaotic and it had a very tense feeling. I think the bread at Vie de france is much better. Decor is a bit weird lots of conflicting colors, I do like the Pictures of the bridges though.
