I love Tony and Joes
I have been here on several occasions when I had a computer conference in the DC area. I was never disappointed and loved the food and view.
Add CommentGreat Place!

Me and my husband decided to check out Tony & Joe's, it seems like everyone was talking about this place recently. The weather was perfect so we sat out on the outdoor patio and I was blown away by the awesome views of DC. The food and service were tremendous. Our waitress was attentive, funny and very professional. Between the great food, service and incredible views of the Potomac we had a wonderful day. The crab dip is the best I've ever had, and the crab cake sandwich was good, too. They have a pretty extensive wine and beer list as well. If you want to spend a nice afternoon eating great food with a spectacular view, go to Tony & Joe's. We can't wait to go back.
Terrible experience. Don't waste your money.
Most people are tempted to visit Tony & Joe's thanks to it's primary real estate, but it's not worth the hassle. I've been on three occasions, each time seeking the charm of a waterfront bar. Each time I have been sorely disappointed. It's easy to look past the ridiculous prices for domestic beers, but on each of my visits I have encountered the most RUDE and outright confrontational staff members!
Having worked in this industry in a beach town, this is NOT how you treat your customers! From apathetic managers on down to ignorant and inexperienced wait staff, bartenders, and door men, this place offers the worst possible experience for the DC waterfront. Courteous customers should NEVER be treated as an inconvenience. Don't waste your time. Take your dollars to an establishment that actually wants your business.bar area -- too pretentious

As much as I want to hang out and people watch on the harbor, the crowd that goes to this place is rather snotty and showy. If you are looking for a little more diversity go next door to Sequoia where it's a little more down to earth (for Georgetown) and welcoming--plus, they are even closer to being on the water.
DISRESPECTFUL!

I went to Tony & Joe's on Saturday afternoon with some friends for drinks . They have a very nice location and setting where you can sit outside on the patio. We were sitting at the bar outside and it took forever to get drinks and the place wasnt that busy. A bouncer deliberately poured drinks all over two young women's chest for doing who knows what. At that point we left because we had enough! Very unsocial bartenders. I'll never return.
Sunday Brunch
Tony & Joe's has a wonderful Sunday Brunch. We were there yesterday with our family and it was a great time. The food was very good and they also have a wonderful jazz trio that was absolutely delightful to listen to while we were dining. Top that off we a great view and you can't go wrong with tis place! Thank you Tony & Joe's...
Great Experience
Tony and Joe's is a lot of fun. Great outdoor fun, great seafood, great service. Just an all around enjoyable time to be had.
Winter by The River

Tony and Joes was great. My father was in town for the afternoon and it happened to be in the mid 60s. We looked all over Georgetown to find a place where we could sit outside and people kept recomending Tony and Joes so we went down there. It was so much fun to sit right up on the potomac in the middle of December. The food was great, we had the hot crab dip as an appitizer and I had the rock fish while my father had the philly cheesteak. The beer selection wasn't to die for but all in all Tony and Joes was a great experience.
Horrible food, great view
I dined at Tony and Joe's for my birthday and was greatly disappointed. The view and atmosphere was great so maybe it was all worth it but the food was horrible! We ordered the crab dip which looked and tasted like canned tuna. My shrimp entree was overcooked and almost impossible to get through. Go there for drinks, not food.
