If you have the bucks, this is by far the best restaurant in DC. The steaks are delicious, the lobster are jumbo size and fresh, and the service is extraordinary. I recommend the cheesecake for dessert.

Had been there before about 4 years again..Never as good as the first time..We ordered steak medium well and it was burnt to a crisp. Onion soup was okay.. The atmosphere was good, but you have to pay an expensive price for just an okay meal....

I eat out a lot, and frankly I was disappointed by the food. The waiter kept on giving the wrong food to the wrong people. The food was okay, nothing to brag about (the tuna was overcooked)Honestly based on prior reviews I was very disappointed, and the price sure did not help.

I might have been impressed in the 1960s, but now? Even Blackie's looks good in comparison. Several decades ago big steaks, lots of whiskey and bad service might have been the rage. We're forgetting go-go boots and whatever might be in place too -- but The Palm ain't going to make it as a retro-fit either, be it 1980, 1990, 2000, or Jesus save us, 2010.

Best Restaurant in DC! Kind and friendly server. The manager even greeted us personally at our table beacuse it was the first time we have been there. Because of it, they even gave us free dessert! You can practically can walk off the street in your daily clothes and get wonderful service at this classy place. I loved it and would definately go there again.

I ate at the Palm Sunday night. The clams casino and the softshell crab appetizers were excellent but my filet was burnt to a crisp on the outside. I had to cut the entire outside of the steak off so I could enjoy the medium rare inside. I was totally unimpressed with my entree. My friends ordered the lobster and steak. Their steaks were also overcooked on the outside and the lobster was overcooked and very dry. I was very disappointed with my meal as were they.

I EAT OUT ALOT. IF I WANT TO CONDUCT BUSINESS- IT IS ALWAYS BETWEEN THE PALM AND THE PRIME RIB. IF I WANT TO GO WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS , EAT WELL, TREAT MYSELF, I CALL FOR RESERVATIONS, ASK FOR WAITER DINO, AND GO HAVE THE TIME OF MY LIFE. THIS IS A SUPERIOR RESTAURANT> I HAVE BEEN TO OTHERS, they never fail. GO TO THE PALM WEBSITE

This was a great establishment, and it had a great New York, big-city feel to it. The waiters were knowledgeable, definitely knew how to make a good martini. We ordered the 5 lb. lobster and 2 sides for $75, and it was certainly worth the value. Unfortunately, we had our reservation a week in advance and the table they had for us was thrown together last minute, and was right by the hostess station. Should the reservation be made farther in advance next time?

After 20 years, no steak house is so consistently excellent. Other places have good meat but the sides don't measure up. The Palm is always my favorite for all occasions.

    As superb as the original
    Palm in NYC. The steaks
    and lobsters are perfectly
    prepared and delicious.
    The New York
    cheesecake is to die for.
    The service is exceptional
    and adds immeasurably to
    the wonderful dining
    experience. Also notable
    is how welcome and
    comfortable the staff made
    us feel even though we
    had a three-year-old
    (albeit a very quiet and
    well-behaved one) dining
    with us. It is not
    inexpensive, but dinner at
the Palm is always a very
    special treat and well
    worth the price.
