Morton's The Steakhouse, the nation's premier steakhouse group, specializes in classic, hearty fare, serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees. Morton's is famous for its animated signature tableside menu presentation: steaks, whole Maine lobsters and other main course selections, along with fresh vegetables, are presented on a cart rolled to your table, where the server displays and describes each menu item in appetizing and entertaining detail. The menu, which is the same at all locations, features a variety of favorite cuts, including a 24 ounce porterhouse, which is the house specialty; a 20 ounce New York sirloin and a 14 ounce double cut filet. Every Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy our famous slow roasted Prime Rib. Morton's Prime Rib is a double cut, served bone-in and roasted to a perfect medium rare. Due to limited availability of this item, we suggest you reserve your order when making your reservation.

  • Unbearable service . . .

    Review rating : 1out of 5   crbreston - 02/20/2007

Why don't they just leave a menu? The waiters tick off all of their specials and other offerings in an interminal list, and when we finally make our selection and another couple is seated nearby we have to hear the whole thing all over again, from the next table. And then the incessant . . . is evrything ok . . . it makes the whole experience a negative and annoying one and that is why we will not be going there again . . . this terrible service eclipses any positive effect that their food has to offer . . . when we go out to a decent restaurant we want fine food and decent service, and Morton's just doesn't measure up.

  • Hands Down Winner

    Review rating : 5out of 5   takayla - 02/20/2007

I've been to a ton of steakhouses in the DC area, including Ruth's Chris and Mortons is the hands down winner. Everything there is amazing.

  • Wake up and taste the steak

    Review rating : 5out of 5   pmisme - 02/20/2007

Try again, Mortons is hands down the best steak in town, I have eaten at them all and come back to Morton's every time. do the survey again and pay attention to the taste, you will come up with different results.

  • Morton's wherever you go

    Review rating : 5out of 5   samikim - 11/12/2006

I have visited many Morton's in the last 10 years or so. I have enjoyed every visit and must say that the food is always excellent.
I have only been to one Ruth's Chris, and their steaks are great too. But I do believe that the service and level of professionalism is better at Morton's.

  • THE ONLY STEAK HOUSE

    Review rating : 5out of 5   yates28ford - 01/03/2006

If you rate Ruth's Chris above Morton's, your Community College AA degree is showing. Morton's wrote the book, Ruth's is still coloring by the numbers. Carving into a Morton's NY Strip is like entering a room at the Four Seasons with Elle McPherson for the first time. Blissful.

  • STILL THE BEST, BUT.....

    Review rating : 4out of 5   ccoyer123 - 05/27/2005

Morton's, regardless of location, continues to consistently deliver an excellent product with outstanding service. However, it amazes me that none of the high end chop houses cook over wood grills.
Until then, my palate will steer me towards establishments like Arties of Fairfax for more flavorful options in steaks and chops. I may not be able to get a prime, dry-aged 48 oz. porterhouse there, but I'll get a very good quality, better tasting steak and my wallet will remain a bit more full.

  • Morton's, THE Place for Steak

    Review rating : 5out of 5   hotntight1 - 05/18/2005

Without a doubt, the best service and steaks in the metro area can be found at Morton's in Reston Town Center. The service obviously is the end product of good management, and, Lionnel Holmes, the general manager, and his staff pride themselves on being second to none. The steaks and other food at Morton's has always been prepared the way "I" want it, and not the way someone else might like to prepare it, thus always leaving me with the best meal I've ever had until the next time I can eat there. Personally speaking, I can't understand why Morton's was not rated the number 1 steak house - perhaps going outside the beltway to enjoy the best of Morton's was too much trouble for the editors.

We visited the new Mortons in the Hyatt in Bethesda. The food and service were good, but the prices are atrocious. I was especially disturbed at the $8 added to the bill for parking. From now on, I will go across the street to Ruth's Chris where the food is at least as good, the prices are lower and the parking is free.

  • Great show until dinner arrived.

    Review rating : 5out of 5   prompters - 03/21/2005

I found the presentation and service far exceded the actual food. The cost alone led me to think it would be top notch but I found the steaks flavourless in relation to other high end steakhouses. The sides were reasonably good but they service alone wasn't worth the price of the meal.
