Don't be fooled by the somewhat intimidating presence of club land's ubiquitous velvet ropes out front; despite what you may think, Touch is first and foremost a restaurant, not a club. If you can get past the throbbing bass, scantily clad dancers swaying on the swing in the entrance, and a clientele that looks like it was lifted from a neighboring nightclub, you'll discover that this restaurant provides much more than visual stimulation. The food is modern Southwestern, with dishes as elaborate as the restaurant's interior. Specialties include the Canadian Elk Chop, seared and served with black plum salad; franjellico corn custard and merlot plum demi glace; a red peppercorn-crusted ahi tuna; and a pan-seared filet with vegetable saute, wasabi mashed potatoes and candied ginger. If you prefer to avoid the circus-like atmosphere, Touch offers several outdoor tables where you can conduct an audible conversation and fully appreciate your meal. -- Lesley Abravanel

For a self-proclaimed "high-end" restaurant, this has got to be the dingiest restaurant in all of South Florida. It's no wonder they dim the lights LOW. If the Dining Room is THAT dirty, I can only imagine what the Kitchen looks like. I certainly won't go back.
The bar stools were wobbly and patrons feared falling on their asses (not from the drinks either). The chairs that were once ivory are now gray from years of collected dirt. The booth my guests and I sat in was humid and moldy. I couldn't believe it!
I had to polish my own glass and the silverware looked like it had been attacked by a Brillo pad. The worst part was the cushions. YUCK! They were black on the edges and we questioned where some of the stains came from.
Management was far from accommodating when we asked to move. The bald guy is definitely as dumb as he looks. Our waiter was excellent, but couldn't do much to help. He agreed, interestingly enough, that the Management sucked! Not surprising.
Overall, the food was okay. Better suited for a diner than a posh establishment on South Beach. I've had better TV Dinners. If it weren't for the entertainment to distract guests from the filth they're sitting on, this restaurant would have closed a long time ago.
Bring some wet-naps to sanitize your hands after eating here.Surprisingly wonderful dining
The decor of this great restaraunt is terrific. The entertainment provided keeps things fun and sexy during dinner. If on a date, you probably won't be able to chat, the music is very loud. But the vibe is fun and the scantily clad dancers are a feast for the eyes. But, the best thing about this place is that the food never disappoints. The sea bass dish is the best in town. The wait staff is very good, and they make you forget how rude the blonde, arrogant hostess is (my only complaint). So, if you want to spend a fun evening, be thoroughly entertained and enjoy a wonderful meal, visit Touch.
