Blush describes itself as casual, but the opulent atmosphere (and the high prices) say otherwise. Venturing into a space that isnt known for restaurant success (at least two others have failed there), former Solaris chef Nick Farina offers American cuisine, much of which has been enlivened with a jaunty twist. So youll find familiar tastes, but not so familiar that they seem played out. Think spring roll-like creations with lobster and mascarpone cheese; sweet potato ravioli with prosciutto and sage cream sauce; duck glazed with tequila; and seared scallops with sun-dried tomato mashed potatoes. Two of the most impressive elements at Blush are its extensive wine list, which offers selections to suit any oenophilic budget; and its upstairs veranda, where you can dine al fresco. The veranda gives the place a more casual, countryside appeal, whereas downstairs the atmosphere is a bit heavier, adorned as it is in shades of red (blush. get it?) with dark woods and creamy linens.
