A few positive phrases come to mind when people bring up the Orange Hill: spectacular Sunday brunch, great view overlooking the entire north county, memorable wedding receptions. Unfortunately, there are some phrases that aren't so favorable: forced valet parking, extremely long waits (even with reservations) and very high prices. But don't let these facts deter you from one of the best dining experiences in Orange County. As far as the menu is concerned, Orange Hill keeps it very basic: thick steaks, fresh fish, seasoned poultry and exceptional lamb. You can't go wrong with anything you order here, the master chefs see to that. The real reason OC restaurant aficionados keep returning is the atmosphere: wedding parties, couples celebrating anniversaries and those newly in love swear by this place. There are also several special events throughout the year, including a big Thanksgiving celebration and festive New Year's Eve shindig. Also be sure to make time to lounge by one of the outdoor fire pits overlooking the city, while sharing a good bottle of wine. -- Michael Alarcon

V8 Hot Rod - 07/26/2009The wife and I have been dinning at the Orange Hill restaurant for a number of years. Our meals have always been superb, regardless of what our selections have been. Sunday Brunch is an experience to be enjoyed, but I can't say their Brunch is any better than a number of other Sunday Brunchs, available in some fine Orange County establishments. We have never had to wait very long for our reservations to be acknowledged. The Staff has always been pleasant and we have had some very cordial waiters & waitress's serve us over the years. In short, if want to experience a very pleasant dinning environment with exceptional food and you are not concerned about the expense, the Orange Hill restaurant has a five star thunbs up from us. We consider it, "a special night out" for us !

NewportDiner2008 - 07/11/2008Then you must travel to that hilltop beauty called Orange Hill! Having dinner there with freinds the other night was nothing shy of perfect! We had an amazing time, from the food to the wines and the service, I can not say that I have been more content and impressed at the same time. If you know me you would know this simply by the fact that I am writing this as I typically stray away from computers. If you want to have a great night out it has to be Orange Hill!!!! Thanks up there!

HighSociety2008 - 06/20/2008Went there this last Saturday for their "new" Saturday brunch and I was pleasantly surprised! What a deal for the price! The service was freindly and professional and were always there to keep my champagne full! I could find myself here every week!!!!
Great dining experience

I don'y know why some others here said their experience was terrible, maybe they were expecting TGIF prices and McDonalds food timing! I mean really! 20 - 25 minutes for steak is completely reasonable for a restaurant like this... I thoroughly enjoyed my food and the presentation was terrific. Service was impeccable and the night was perfect. The only criticism that I have is that they really should pour money into the building as the interior could and should be so much better... Not different, just better and more up to date. But do not let that deter you from one of Orange County's top dining destinations! This place is 5 star!
