Perched 51 stories above the lights of Las Vegas, the Voodoo Lounge capitalized on its vantage point long before Strip-fronting balconies and patio seating became cool. When the weather permits (which is more often than not), DJs set up outside on the weekends, but there's always a live band playing indoors nightly. In addition to having one of the best views in town, the Voodoo Lounge also claims some of the best barkeeps and specialty drinks -- "flair bartending" was going on here before it became cool, too. Ask them to whip you up a Witch Doctor, a potent concoction made with four types of rum and tropical fruit juices. If that doesn't make you forget what ails you, nothing will.

voodoo used to be special
greggschro - 02/15/2007i have been giong to vegas for many years and have often stayed at the rio and gone to the voodoo lounge. over the last 2-3 years or so the voodoo has changed from a classy place to hang out into a hip hop driven vip seating (which takes up too much of the limited outdoor deck space) just like all the other joints. the outdoor deck is what the place is all about and the management has been able to destroy the atmosphere. i have never seen so many mid-twenties men wearing jeans and untucked dress shirts in my life.
too bad the voodoo has to imitate the other clubs and not be an innovator anymore.Comments(0)|Add CommentLatin Night
voluptuous973 - 02/02/2007We were in vegas for the week after thanskgiving and were looking to dance some salsa during the earlier part of the week. We were in the Rio and inquired and we had the best time of our lives on a monday night! I am recommeding it to our friends that will there this coming week! That topped our fun week!

cgoldsteinevans - 04/07/2006It takes a lot to get a Vegas local down to the strip. I have been going to the Voodoo for years and it is still the hottest club in Vegas. The bartenders are top talent and the attention to the client is unsurpassed.
