This Columbus outpost of a mostly Illinois-based drink and eatery has an old-school circular wooden bar gleaming with a dazzling array of alcohol, pictures of the Rat Pack in the entrance, and gorgeous high ceilings. The menu is as varied as the folks who come here, with comfort food (pork chops with smashed potatoes and gravy) sharing space with trendy starters like bruschetta pomodoro and two types of calamari (crispy and buffalo). In between are Mexican selections (quesadillas, fajitas), pastas (tortellini, mac-and-cheese) and seafood ranging from blackened salmon to Mongolian-style tuna. The real standouts, though, are the oh-so-hip martinis. With names such as Lemon Louie and Cosmo and nod-to-local additions like The Blue Jacket and The Buckeye, they're sure to score. Yes, especially if you're here on a first date: The friendly, cheerful atmosphere is a real ice-breaker.
