During the summer of 2003, two couples had similar dreams. Long time Executive Chef, Shawn Monday, and his wife Tiffany wished to one day open a restaurant of their own. Kurt and Cindy Nygaard of Hudson, Ohio wanted to take their appreciation of fine food and wine to the next level, owning a restaurant. The two couples blended their culinary and business experiences together to make Downtown 140, their dream, come to fruition. Downtown 140 provides mouth watering Smallest, Small and Not So Small Plates paired with an award winning wine list and a warm environment that make guests feel at home.

its ok
louisgucci - 08/22/2007I was very much looking forward to dining at DT140. I didnt realize the place would be so small. We made reservations for 9pm which was the earliest rsv. available due to how popular this restaurant is. We didnt get our table until 9:45. We all ordered soup or salad before dinner. The soup was D'lish! they have a huge wine list. my dinner was a dissapointment. It was extremely salty.. pretty much inedible. My friend ordered the pork chops and asked for very well done and they were served medium rare. I filled out a questionaire on their web site asking how the experience was, they never bothered to call or email back. I was very dissapointed. For the amount of money that we spent there that night I would have expected much much better service and food.

debsharlan - 02/20/2005The food is creative, fresh and full of flavor. I've tried a number of all sizes of dishes and all were excellent! I think this is one of the best restaurants in the Cleveland area. The service is also outstanding and the choices of wine are excellent.
