The old, supposedly cursed spot at 1235 Washington Ave. is back in black, this time brought to you by the Opium Group's Milon Brothers. The new owners renamed the space Mansion and procured the services of top-shelf promoters Michael Capponi and Antonio Misuraca. This is the place that's supposed to save Washington Avenue from drabness. It very well could. Each week the club features signature signs of SoBe success: lots of celebrities, mobs of angry people who can't get in, and the occasional visit by the fire marshal. Inside, the venue takes after its name. It is cast and impressive, completely reinvented with wood and marble floors and airier use of space. The large dance hall remains much the same as it always has, except for 30-foot-tall columns and a set of spectacular arches. But the party, not the decor, is the main attraction. Capponi and Misuraca keep the big house theme in line with servers decked in French maid and butler outfits.

kiacutie1221 - 07/10/2007The Samoan guy definitely needs a reality check. He made ups some BS story about an invite. And then another guy pointed me in the direction of a ghetto club with an MTV guy appearing. Guess he forgot where he came from. I'm from NY where you have to look nice to get in. I wasn't half naked the only problem my friends and I seemed to have was our skin color.

imiamimike - 03/03/2007MANSION is what it's name implies BIG AND LUXURIOUS !!! This space long the luxe club in Miami Beach in all it's incarnations....CLUB 1235, PARAGON, Prince's GLAM SLAM, LEVEL and now MANSION has always been LARGER THAN LIFE !!! If you want to go to a club and feel that you have been someplace special....It was once an ART DECO MOVIE THEATRE and consequently the space is very DRAMATIC and THEATRICAL...this is IT. You walk in and YOU are a STAR. Yes it can be difficult to get in ( dressing to impress helps ! Wal-Mart or Flea Market fashions don't and won't cut it ) but once you do...you are transported to a world of glamour and magical music. It's worth the extra effort to enjoy this slice of high life in SOBE. The special events and parties are an added bonus and usually quite amazing !! Remember any club is what YOU make it....if you are FUN and ready to have FUN.......YOU WILL !!!! Especially here !!!

michywisy3 - 01/04/2007i went for the first time to mansion last weekend, and it was amazing, in the first 5 minutes i was there i was surrounded by celebrities. theres really no point in going if you have a bad hook up and have to wait in line/ bad table.

A group of us (hispanic, black and west indie) went to Miami for a weekend and heard about this FUN club...well it was fun alright...not only do they have different lines to stand in but there is a certain clientel that goes in especially if the Samoian bouncer is in the front entrance. This is what we observed while waiting to get in the club...If you have money to give the bouncers up front, white, blond hair or exposing any body part and sucking up to the Samoan bouncer hey then you will be able to get in.Or hope and pray that you were able to find someone earlier that day on the strip to get a bracelet to get you in becuase if not you were not partying with the so called elite. Some may think no way but yeas way....we were people who wanted to listen to music and have fun and we were standing on line with the rest of the other people who didnt meet the profile of getting into this club. I would defintly not recommend this place to anyone.
