If you're looking for a crazy time downtown, the Ugly Monkey is pretty sure to fulfill your wishes. The bar, now next to the Slippery Noodle, has lots of opportunities for getting wild. Spin the Shot Wheel and down whichever of the 45 different shots it lands on. Get moving with DJ Kevin Mixxx every Friday and Saturday in the back room, and be sure to stop by to meet the infamous bartender Scrappy. If you need a break, head to the front room where you'll find the Retro Lounge, which is a little more low-key, or get some fresh air outside on the giant patio with a view of Meridian. The Ugly Monkey also offers plenty of grub for the starving bargoer like wings, cheese sticks, chili fries, sandwiches, quesadillas, nachos, salads and even chili. Be sure you put in your order before 1AM, though, when the kitchen closes.

    This club gives you a nice mix of dancing in the back bar and being able to hang out with friends and talk in the front bar. The music they play is incredible and just makes you want to have fun. The club is always full of people and the bartendars are always fast and not too mention HOT! I've been there for bachelorette parties, birthdays, anniversary's, New Years and just hanging out for no special occassion. My favorite part of the bar is the deck. You can sit outside with friends and sit at the tables provided and have appetizers or swing on the adult swing set!!!!! Yes an Adult Swing set!!!! So so so fun!!!! It is definitely a major hot spot in Indianapolis and the cooliest place I've ever been. Love you guys!!!!!!!!!!! Monkey is #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I have been going to this club for about 7 years now, and it's certainly stood the test of time. Year in and year out, by far one of the best nightclubs in Indianapolis to go for a fun night of dancing, drinks, and monkeys. Well, maybe not monkeys. FIVE STARS, UGLY MONKEY!!!! KEEP IT UP!!!!
