West Midtown's popular indie coffeehouse and lounge is the place to get energized in the mornings and wind down in the evenings. There's free Wi-Fi which regulars happily use, making Octane their second office. There's a decent food menu of sandwiches, salads, soups and bakery items. The coffee is strong and rich, with the three-country house blend a patron favorite, made of a blend of beans from Sumatra, Kenya, and Ethiopia. The imported beer selection is stellar (Belgian varieties are a staff favorite). A different beer is featured every week.
The brick-walled interior is lined with artwork from local artists. Live entertainment features local musicians, DJs and art openings. Seating includes couches and comfy chairs and tables. The staff are hipsters but friendly.
