At this festive spot, the island fertility goddess Kaya presides over a hopping happy hour as she towers over the dining room, six feet high on a pedestal. That can't be a bad sign if you're hoping to make a date for the next night out. Nor can tropical refreshers such as the pometini (pomegranate, Triple Sec, white cranberry and gin) or the Kayapolitan (house lemongrass, lime zest-infused vodka and white-cranberry juice). Rum from Anguilla, Barbados, Haiti, Jamaica and St. Croix are among the bar's offerings as well, although you can still get a plain old Yuengling. The menu changes daily, but it always features island tastes such as a Cuban sandwich (roasted pork, turkey, ham, Swiss cheese, whole-grain mustard, chipotle aioli and fries), jerk pulled-pork quesadilla and Jamaican green-curry vegetables. If you want to settle in to chat up your date, the tropical flowers and fruits painted on the tables offer a hint of paradise. (Thought the ceremonial masks on the walls make for stern chaperones.)

SENIORS BEVARE! My husband and I ordered a sandwich. While we waited for our order more people came. I noticed they were served before us and they left before us. The food is excellent, and in spite of everything we ordered a desert. I thought it should be interesting too, after liking the sandwich. Until we were done the place was empty it took us two hours to finish our meal. I told the waiter that we have time.I meant to be sarcastic. We were never treated like this.
