With a new menu and kitchen staff, the bar that was once pegged as a swanky, lounge-y, martini spot has since taken a slightly different shape. While you can still get all the martinis you want, the dynamic at this Ferndale bar/restaurant has shifted ever so slightly, especially in the kitchen. When it introduced new menu additions in April 2005, Dino's ushered in a new sense of dining variety. On the small plates, crab and shrimp dip, as well as stuffed portabella mushroom caps are in. A Reuben slider (corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss, stacked on toasted buns and dressed in thousand island), as well as a rib-sticking homemade meatloaf sandwich, are also new. And perhaps some of the heartier additions are the broiled cod and rice, beef tenderloin torenadoes and the salmon parmesan with pesto cream sauce (a stunning, moist and flaky Norwegian salman, encrusted with parmesan and topped with a distinct pesto cream sauce on fettuccini). Three new, 'young gun'-style chefs are now in the kitchen, blowing out these specialties with more assuredly on the way. It's still a friendly bar with live music and great game-watching capabilities, it just now has a ramped up menu.

New Year's Eve info: Reservations are ''highly'' recommended for dinner -- featuring a fancy a la carte menu with a handful of yummy choices. The menu is not written in stone yet, but past selections include surf and turf, duck, veal, and sea scallops. There will also be a champagne toast and midnight and a complimentary make-your-own Coney bar for patrons. Entertainment for the evening is the Twistin' Tarantulas. No cover. Dinner prices range from $12-$25.

I am thrilled to finally find a great place to eat, drink, listen to great live music and meet new friends. They have a new executive Chef Evan Barrett who makes wonderful food. They have somithing new on the menu every day and night so you never get bored. I have also heard rumors that they are going to open a catering and delivery sevice. How exciting!

A nice atmosphere during the week, but come the weekend and it's too crowded, hot and smokey. Perhaps there is a way to expand it either w/i or outside (via rooftop lounge or deck). Food is great though!!!

We have been going once a week since the grand opening, the place is top notch! Friendly staff, the atmosphere is suburb! The detail has been very well thought out. the candles behind the bar make it very comfortable. We have me Dino several times, what a great guy! And lets not forget the food, incredible and very reasonably priced!! Try the Seared Tuna, it is wonderful!!! They also have their version of sliders (mini burgers) you get a choice of turkey or beef, they are to die for!
The owner knows what he doing, that is for sure. If only we had more owners that truly put their heart and soul into their establishments.... dining out would be enjoyed by all.We are single women, and this is a place you can go to and feel comfortable. It is a mixture of singles and couples, we have found that all the guests are up to a friendly hello or chat.
