The food at Houston's is straightforward -- nothing new, but well prepared and consistently delicious. The menu, while not extensive, is likely to include some of your favorites with entres like steaks, grilled chicken, sandwiches and salads. That must be what people are looking for because this place is always crowded at meal times, so if you don't want to wait for a table, go during the off times. The restaurant also offers a full bar and an atmosphere that is dark and cozy, nice but not fancy. The service is professional and attentive. castrojp - 02/09/2004Of course I'm partial to Houston's in Addison because my husband proposed to me there over a plate of the most amazing guacomole you've ever tasted! Houston's always delivers excellent service, fabulous food, and a quiet atmosphere. Signature soups are delightful, salads are oversized and exceptionally fresh, smoked salmon appetizer is the best in Dallas. Entrees always well prepared. Fresh fish is definitely fresh or it isn't served! We never mind any wait for a table because the bar is a great place to have an appetizer or cocktail. Always a treat to be at Houston's. You won't be disappointed.
