Described as a coffee, wine and tapas bar, The Argentine Bean is all that and more. Not only a restaurant, this place is a veritable social butterfly. Care to (learn how to) tango? Call for lesson times. (They teach the salsa, too.) Concerts, beer and wine tastings are also scheduled throughout the month. Of course, you'll need something to munch on, and they're happy to show you Argentina's rich cuisine. Tapas (warm and chilled), beef empanadas, pastries, deli sandwiches, soups and salads are all here. Thirsty? Choose from numerous coffees with all the flavorings, a well-stocked bar with top-shelf liquors, bottled beers (mostly imports), a couple dozen wines (mostly South American), and house-specialty boutique martinis with such tantalizing monikers as The Naked Blonde, My Latin Lover and El Diablo. Plenty of natural sunlight floods through large windows, and outdoor tables with umbrellas are set up for you to take it easy for a day -- the Argentinean way.
